Cochemea meets the Istanbul audience at Fiba Salon IKSV on the evening of October 3. Known for his long years in the Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings lineup, the saxophonist follows a distinctive path in his solo work, blending native rhythms, meditative textures and psychedelic traces; his live performances flow more cyclical and hypnotic than his records. Fiba Salons clean acoustics and close seating layout are the right setting for not missing the detail of the winds and percussion. The most notable concert of the first week of October for someone who listens to jazz through rhythm, close to dancing.
