The World Akustik concert series, held with World sponsorship from Yapı Kredi Bomontiada, hosts İlhan Erşahin this November. Erşahin plays Babylon with his Istanbul Sessions project on Wednesday, 18 November 2026. The organiser's announcement gives the start time as 20.00, so it is worth confirming on the ticket page. Erşahin founded Istanbul Sessions in 2008 as a session band to play with, and it reflects the eclectic energy of the city by blending elements of jazz, rock and dance music. The lineup features Alp Ersönmez on bass guitar, Turgut Alp Bekoğlu on drums and İzzet Kızıl on percussion. The group also brings its sixth studio album, "Mahalle", released in January 2026, to the night: the album draws on Istanbul's cultural fabric and takes shape around the ideas of place, movement and transformation. Thanks to its improvisational approach, every concert turns into a different experience.
