Ziynet Sali
Ziynet Sali is a renowned Turkish Cypriot pop music artist known for her distinctive style, powerful voice and broad repertoire. Born in Nicosia in 1975, she moved with her family to England, where she gained British citizenship, returned to Cyprus in 1981 to finish high school, and came to Istanbul in 1994 for music training, graduating with honors from Istanbul Technical University's Turkish Music State Conservatory in 1999. She began performing professionally as a soloist during her conservatory years and has produced work not only in pop but also in rebetiko and classical Turkish music, releasing her debut album "Ba-Ba" in 2000 and following it with successful records including "Amman Kuzum," "Mor Yıllar" and "Yaşam Çiçeği." Songs like "Bana da Söyle," "Kalbim Tatilde" and "Deli Divanenim" climbed high on Turkey's music charts, and she married guitarist Erkan Erzurumlu in 2019.
