Zeina is a successful DJ, producer and event organizer known for house and techno work in electronic music, blending the warmth and emotion of her Arab roots with modern minimal rhythms. Born in Saudi Arabia and having lived in countries including Kuwait, Bahrain, Dubai and Ireland, she has spent roughly 15-20 years DJing and building communities in electronic music hubs like Montreal, Toronto, Berlin and San Francisco. In Cairo, she runs "Unfamiliar," an all-women rave and event series created to open space for female electronic music artists and build a global network for them, and she embraces deep, hypnotic, dark minimal grooves at the intersection of house and techno, approaching music from the perspective of a dancer. Having performed at prestigious venues and festivals including Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), Berlin's Club der Visionaere and Stereo Montreal, she continues both producing music and shaping underground music culture across the Middle East and North Africa region today.
