Born in Denizli in 1980, she trained in jazz vocals at Istanbul Bilgi University and spent years as Kenan Doğulu's backing vocalist before her breakthrough with "...dan Sonra" from her self-titled debut album in 2007, which reached number one on Turkey's official charts. She has delivered numerous chart-topping songs that left a mark on Turkish pop, including "Sevişmeden Uyumayalım," "Kafa," "Acısa da Öldürmez" and "Yabancı," and beyond performing her own material, she has also written lyrics and composed music for many other artists in the industry.
