Şenay Lambaoğlu, born in Kiel, Germany, is a Turkish jazz singer, songwriter and composer regarded as one of the most prestigious women in the Turkish jazz scene, known for her distinctive vocal style, blending jazz with alternative pop, and self-written songs. She began music on classical guitar and in school choirs, studied Musical Theater and Drama at Pera Fine Arts Academy, then graduated from the Vocal Performance department at Yıldız Technical University's Faculty of Art and Design, completing her master's at the same institution; her career has included collaborations with some of Turkey's most important jazz musicians, including Aydın Esen, Neşet Ruacan and İlhan Erşahin, as well as a vocalist role on rock guitarist Cem Köksal's album project. She released her debut solo album, "İçimde Aşk Var," entirely self-written, in 2012, and has expanded her discography with albums including "Zarf Tümleci" (2014), "Rüyalarıma Gir" (2018) and "Sığınak" (2021), recently releasing singles "Kimse Bilmez" and "Manifesto." A regular performer at international events including the Istanbul, Ankara and Bodrum Jazz Festivals, she continues performing at select jazz clubs both in Turkey and abroad.
