Semih Akay is a well-known Istanbul-based DJ, music producer and entrepreneur, regarded as one of the established figures of Turkey's electronic music scene and Istanbul nightlife. He began his musical journey in the early 2000s at Istanbul's legendary underground club Dirty, went on to play at venues that have shaped Istanbul's electronic scene like Magnet, Indigo and Lokal, and regularly plays sets at major European electronic music hubs like Berlin; his sets and productions lean primarily on House, Micro-House and Techno, with released works including "Foundays," "Waterbox" and "Module." Beyond his identity as a musician, Akay has been a co-founder of several significant Istanbul nightlife ventures, serving as co-founder and music director of Kasette, one of Beyoğlu's popular electronic music spots, and has also left his mark on ventures including Magnetic Tattoo, Massive Istanbul and Monojam.
