Sattas is one of Turkey's first and most established reggae bands, founded in Istanbul in 2004 by vocalist Orçun "Leo" Sünear and drummer Derya Eke. Their name comes from Jamaican patois "satta," meaning to relax or chill, and their sound blends the traditional roots-reggae core with jazz, ska, dub and rock. Known for beloved songs like "Eskitilmiş" and "Bir Ben Miyim," the band released their debut self-titled album "SATTAS" in 2012 and were the subject of the documentary "Regici," chronicling their formation and Turkey's reggae culture. Having played prestigious stages from Zeytinli Rock Festival to Germany's Ruhr Summerjam Reggae Fest, Sattas performs at this event in an acoustic "Unplugged" format.
