Reyhan Karaca, real name Reyhan Soykarcı, is a Turkish singer and musician remembered for the hit songs she released in the 1990s, now considered a classic of Turkish pop. Born in Istanbul in 1970, she graduated from Istanbul Technical University's Turkish Music State Conservatory in Instrument Training and plays the kabak kemane; she entered professional music in 1987, spending years backing many artists — chiefly Zerrin Özer — with her voice and instrument, and also worked for a time as a music teacher. In 1993 she won Turkey's Eurovision Song Contest national selection and represented Turkey in Ireland with the song "İki Dakika," performed alongside İffet Melis Bali and Mustafa Sandal, but her true mass breakthrough came with her unforgettable 1997 album "Sevdik Sevdalandık." She has released beloved albums including "Yaman Olacak," "Mesela" and "İki Gözüm," and continues producing music today, releasing the single "Vura Vura," written and composed by Altuğ Bilsev, in August 2026.
