Queto

DJ Queto (born Kemal Zengin) is a Turkish electronic music artist, DJ and producer from Istanbul, active since 1988. He started his career at Studio Disc music store in Istanbul, became a resident DJ at the popular club Discorium, and trained in electronic music in London and Amsterdam between 1992 and 1998 to hone his craft. Blending 80s electronic music with funk, soul, disco, house and techno, Queto founded his own label, Genius K Records, in 2007, and his track "Cruel Summer" on Haze Music climbed to No. 1 on the Beatport charts. Performing at respected venues across Turkey as well as European cities like Vienna, Frankfurt and London, Queto remains actively producing new music today.
