Melina
Melina Vlachos is a French-Greek singer, composer, oud player and dancer who blends traditional Eastern Mediterranean and Balkan melodies with modern pop sounds, describing her own style as "neo-traditional pop." Raised in Paris within a French-Greek family of musicians, she began on violin before turning to the oud as her main instrument, training under respected names from the Turkish and Greek music scenes to master makam music, Eastern repertoire and improvisation. Weaving together Greek folk music including rebetiko, Balkan melodies and Eastern Mediterranean textures with modern pop production and electronic layers, Vlachos plays oud, sings and performs dance on stage simultaneously. Having released her debut EP in June 2025, she has performed in Turkey at events including the DatJazz Festival and the "Women of Rebetiko" project, as well as in Bodrum and Antalya.
