Mela Bedel, real name Ayfer İlker, is an emerging singer, songwriter and producer on Turkey's pop, alternative and R&B scene. Born in Bahçelievler, Istanbul in 1995 to a family from Kayseri, she started music at age 4 on an organ her family bought her, trained in drama during school, and after her family moved to a small town when she was 10, turned inward, writing stories and poems that she later set to music and recorded in her home studio. She launched her professional career in 2019 with the independent single "Nasip," which she wrote, composed and produced herself, and also wrote a song for the TV series "Çukur" that year; she signed with Sony Music Turkey in 2020 and reached a wide audience the same year with "Alayı Yalan," which climbed high on charts like Spotify's Viral 50. Known for her melancholic pop sound and distinctive vocal style, she released her debut studio album "Bölüm Sonu" in April 2023, compiling her work up to that point, along with popular songs like "Canım" and "Pembe Güller."
