maNga is a world-famous Turkish alternative rock, nu-metal and rapcore band formed in Ankara in 2001, blending electronic music with Anatolian melodies. Named after Japanese manga comics, the band is one of the leading voices in Turkish rock, known for combining hard guitar riffs with rap vocals. Their 2004 debut album included "Bir Kadın Çizeceksin," which made it onto the soundtrack of FIFA 2006, and in 2009 they were named Best European Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards. In 2010, maNga represented Turkey at the Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo with "We Could Be The Same," finishing runner-up in a historic achievement. Led by vocalist Ferman Akgül and founding guitarist Yağmur Sarıgül, the band is known for hits like "Cevapsız Sorular" and "Dünyanın Sonuna Doğmuşum."
