Kelly Lee Owens is a Welsh electronic musician, producer and vocalist who fuses dream pop with techno; born in 1988, she has become a respected name in today's electronic music world for her atmospheric, hypnotic style. Before pursuing music full-time, Owens worked as an auxiliary nurse in a cancer hospital in Manchester and London, and it was encouragement from the patients in her care that led her to leave nursing and pursue music, interning at XL Recordings in London along the way. After her critically acclaimed self-titled debut album (2017) and the analog-synth-driven "Inner Song" (2020), she released the experimental "LP.8" (2022) with Norwegian musician Lasse Marhaug, followed by the progressive-house-leaning "Dreamstate" (2024) on George Daniel of The 1975's label dh2. She has collaborated with or remixed artists including Björk, St. Vincent, Jon Hopkins and John Cale, supported Depeche Mode on their world tour, and released the club-focused "Kelly EP" in 2025.
