Homeland
Homeland is an Istanbul-based jazz quartet led by pianist Sabri Tuluğ Tırpan and clarinet virtuoso Serkan Çağrı, known for reinterpreting the melodies of Anatolian folk poets and traditional Turkish musical motifs through modern jazz improvisation. With Mehmet Özen on bass and Mehmet Akatay on percussion rounding out the core lineup, the group is often joined on stage by guest musicians such as Anıl Şallıel on saxophone and Burak Dursun on trumpet.
