Granul is an Istanbul-based, visionary electronic music producer, DJ and audio-visual (A/V) performer who fuses sound with technology, working in a genre-fluid style to create bass-heavy experimental music rooted in sound-system culture. Blending old-school club music with hip-hop, breakbeat and left-field bass elements, and building on layered bass lines, organic percussion and dark atmospheric textures, Granul actively incorporates AI algorithms, deep learning and coding techniques alongside traditional methods, aiming to combine human creativity with next-generation technology to uncover unique combinations within endless streams of sound. Going beyond making music alone, Granul creates A/V performances that merge music with visuals, and has also made a name performing under Prague-based experimental label YUKU, remaining an active presence on Istanbul's electronic music scene.
