Derdo Disco is a modern music and DJ project founded by Mükerrem Mislina Burhan, reinterpreting traditional and melancholic arabesque melodies through house, disco, funk and electronic touches and bringing them to the dance floor. Blending emotional, melancholic local rhythms with strong disco energy and electronic production, the project, managed by MG Talent, performs DJ sets at major alternative venues and festivals in Turkey including Babylon and the Bozcaada Jazz Festival, reworking Turkish folk songs and anonymous traditional pieces through lo-fi house arrangements for a modern audience.
