Corda Quintet is a jazz quintet bringing together the next generation of talent on Turkey's jazz scene. The group was formed by young musicians who placed at the prestigious Nardis Young Jazz Musician Competition. It's made up of vocalist Barış Alp Dönmez, guitarist Doruk Liman, bassist Ulaş Özdemir, pianist Öykü Damla Gözel and drummer Selami Baysal, winner of the 21st Nardis competition. They made a strong impression performing at Yeldeğirmeni Sanat on the opening day of the 36th Akbank Jazz Festival.
