Ceren Gündoğdu is an independent Turkish singer-songwriter, musician and theater actress regarded as one of the more original, romantic voices in Turkish pop. Born in Istanbul in 1988 to Turkish folk music conductor Zafer Gündoğdu and Turkish classical music artist Fahrenaz Gündoğdu, she grew up in a home blending Eastern and Western music, graduated top of her class in Sociology from Boğaziçi University while simultaneously completing Musical Theater at Istanbul University State Conservatory, and later earned a master's in Media and Communication from Galatasaray University. Her debut solo album "Kapalı Gözlerle" (2020), written and composed entirely by her, found major success on streaming platforms with songs like "Kapı" and "Beni Affet," and she followed it with her second album "Işık Olur Gözlerin" in 2025. Alongside her music career, she is also a professional musical theater actress who has taken lead roles in celebrated productions like "Fiddler on the Roof" and "The Music Man" with the Istanbul State Theaters.
