Catching Flies, born George King in London in 1991, is an English producer, DJ and multi-instrumentalist whose blend of ambient, downtempo, jazz and house often draws comparisons to Bonobo. He started producing at 16 as a way to unwind from school stress, and made his professional breakthrough in 2012 with a remix of Mt. Wolf's "Life Sized Ghosts" that racked up millions of plays. His 2019 debut album Silver Linings, and particularly the ambient remix of its track "Satisfied," earned wide praise, and he's worked with labels like Anjunadeep and Cercle and recorded an Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1. His live sets pair sampling techniques with acoustic instruments and string quartets.
