Bugge Wesseltoft is a world-renowned Norwegian jazz pianist, composer and producer widely credited as a pioneer of nu-jazz for blending jazz with electronic elements. His 1990s project "New Conception of Jazz" redefined the genre's boundaries by merging jazz with ambient textures, house rhythms and live electronic loops. He founded his own label, Jazzland Recordings, to support Scandinavian musicians, and formed the trio RYMDEN with bassist Dan Berglund and drummer Magnus Öström. Known for his affinity with Turkish music, he has performed alongside Turkish masters like Erkan Oğur as part of the Akbank Jazz Festival.
