Bob Moses is a Canadian electronic music duo formed in 2012, made up of Tom Howie and Jimmy Vallance, whose project blends vocal-driven electronic music with alternative rock, indie dance and deep house elements. The two actually attended the same middle and high school in Vancouver, but didn't make music together until years later, when they ran into each other by chance in a parking lot in Brooklyn, New York; the band's name comes from Robert Moses, the famed urban planner who reshaped New York City. Combining guitars, melancholic vocals and strong songwriting with electronic rhythms into a dark, atmospheric sound that appeals to club and rock audiences alike, Bob Moses won a Grammy for RAC's remix of their song "Tearing Me Up," and have released albums including "Days Gone By" and "Battle Lines," along with hits like "Desire," made with ZHU, working with labels including Domino Recording Company and Astralwerks.
