Bengü
Bengü, full name Bengü Erden, is one of the most recognized and successful female vocalists in Turkish pop music. Born in Izmir in 1979, she first encountered music through the Izmir State Symphony Orchestra during her primary school years, later took the lead role in a production of the musical "Oliver Twist," and placed second in the Pop Show '98 singing competition. Before her professional career, she spent three years as a backing vocalist for Kenan Doğulu and graduated from Marmara University's Faculty of Business Administration; she released her debut album "Hoş Geldin" in 2000 and delivered numerous chart-topping hits in Turkey including "Korkma Kalbim," "İki Melek," "Saat 03.00" and "Unut Beni." She married Selim Selimoğlu in 2018 and separated in 2024, with the couple having two children together.
