BasicDisarm
BasicDisarm is an Istanbul-based DJ and music producer known on the electronic music scene for industrial elements and experimental sounds. Starting out as a DJ in 2017, they combine Experimental, Industrial and Techno genres in their sets and productions, exploring varied percussive structures and rhythms with the aim of taking listeners on a mental journey. A founding member of the independent collective Build Your Tribe, under which they organize various parties, events and interdisciplinary open-call exhibitions, BasicDisarm releases primarily on the XSM Recordings label, put out the seven-track "Compromise" LP in 2022, and has taken part in joint remix projects with local names like Kübra Uzun and Mx. Sür. They play sets at Istanbul independent venues like Arkaoda and at various events including the Carnalist Podcast and Yerli Baskı Festivali.
