Alp Ersönmez is one of Turkey's most accomplished and respected bass guitarists, composers and arrangers, a dynamic force behind both the jazz scene and Turkish pop music. Born in İzmir in 1974, he graduated from Istanbul Bilgi University's Jazz Composition program and is widely known as Tarkan's bass player and Yalın's music director. He has worked with major names like Nil Karaibrahimgil and Sertab Erener, played bass and keys and arranged for Athena's legendary album "Pis," and is the longtime bassist for İlhan Erşahin's İstanbul Sessions as well as a member of prestigious jazz projects like Kangroove and ÜÇ. Alongside his solo albums "Yazısız" (2011) and "Cereyanlı" (2021), he produces film scores and teaches bass guitar online.
