"Neo Turkish Psych", curated by Gaye Su Akyol as part of the Garanti BBVA Young Concerts series, takes place on Saturday, 21 November at 9:00 PM on the Zorlu PSM Turkcell Stage. Akyol blends ancient Anatolian sounds with psychedelic rock, post-punk and electronic music, bringing voices from different eras and geographies together with today's musical world. Guests include Lalalar (Ali Güçlü Şimşek and Barlas Tan Özemek), known for their futuristic take on the spirit of 70s arabesque, cinematic retro basslines and fuzzy guitars, and Alaturca Club, which mixes a Turkish-style club feel with psychedelia, alaturka and dance music. Alaturca Club was founded in 2022 by Göksu Taşçıeviren, Mustafa Atik (Sufle) and Nurettin Çolak (Ethnu), and released its first album, Club Alaturca, in 2024.
