The CRR Jazz Orchestra is on stage on 20 November at 8:00 PM at CRR Concert Hall with two guests: award-winning vocalist and trombonist Aubrey Logan, who blends jazz, pop, soul and funk, and double bassist and academic Sezin Ahmet Türkmenoğlu. Conductor: Nail Yavuzoğlu. Logan won both the jury and audience awards at the Montreux Jazz Festival Voice Competition and has performed at venues such as Radio City Music Hall and the Sydney Opera House. Türkmenoğlu has shared the stage with Stanley Jordan, Lee Ritenour and Arturo Sandoval, among others, and teaches at Los Angeles City College. The orchestra approaches world and traditional music with an academic perspective, and its repertoire of more than 100 works ranges from jazz standards to folk-song arrangements.
