One of the most original voices in modern jazz guitar, John Scofield celebrates his 75th birthday with a special project: Combo 75. The three-time Grammy winner draws on a career spanning bebop, blues and jazz-funk and his own unmistakable language. The band, formerly known as Combo 66, returns to new compositions and selected pieces from the repertoire. Scofield is joined by Gerald Clayton on piano, Bill Stewart on drums and Vicente Archer on double bass. Stewart shares a long musical history with Scofield, Clayton has been Grammy-nominated six times and Archer is one of today's leading jazz bassists. The concert takes place on 27 February at 9:00 PM on the Paribu Art Main Stage — an evening built on improvisation and strong musical dialogue.
